Moving Is in Our Roots
Patrick Hughes and his family move from Ireland to Philadelphia and establish Hughes Piano Movers.
1978
MSS is Born
Tim Hughes, Patrick Hughes’s great-grandson, identifies a need in the moving industry: specialty services for household goods. Armed with expertise in crating and furniture/appliances services, Tim brings that vision to life and starts Movers Specialty Service (MSS) out of his one-bedroom apartment.
2008
New Opportunities
While the Relocation Support Services division continues to grow successfully, MSS recognizes an opportunity to expand into the logistics space. MSS Logistics Services is established, with a two-person team at the helm.
2015
A New Division
The business undergoes a companywide rebranding initiative and Pure Install Solutions becomes a division of MSS.
2017
Expansion
Pure Install continues to flourish, and the division expands into a 34,000 square foot office and warehouse space.
